*Edit* SWEET! My first DD on the site... took long enough lol... IM so amped its sweet. Thanks for everyone whos always been checking me out and everyone who will now hopefully keep coming back. Awesome !
I think the surrounding black might be what bugs you. It seems a tad dominating, it is large and blocky and drowns the detail of the centerpiece. I love rough, graffiti/urban-styled art. Perhaps similar 2D work to the background in the right half would help lessen the dominance of the black in the left half?
Do not take me to insult your art, though, it's among the first Daily Deviations I've bothered commenting.
I love the angle to the model, the right-sided alignment. It's incredible to think this is entirely 3D, truly. So many views to explore! Do you swivel and turn the camera about it, and admire your work from an all manner of angles? I'd love to be able to.
The combination of sleek, sharp steel and rough, "amatuer" splattered painted works very well, both have a real young, teen-feel to them, reminiscent of the title. The teenage sense is also enhanced by the presence of speakers and records, and perhaps a hint of blood. The background of unclean metal or stone further contributes to the teenage in this deviation, as most young people grow up in city environments, after all. Flanked by unclean metal and stone.
Turbulent times for us all, after all.
And, in truth, I do like the black to the sides. The depth it adds only furthers my fascination with the structure of your art, and gives exactly what you've created a very curious nature. What is it, after all, and why does it extrude like this?
Well deserving of the Daily Deviation, Demonic Anarchist, and you deserve all the kudos you've received with it. Azazel Fade.
